Altair Adopts Families in Need for the Holidays

Altair is committed to giving back to the community continuously throughout the year, and the holiday season is no exception. Over the years, Altairians have donated many gifts to children and families who may not otherwise have had much to celebrate during the holidays. For the 2015 season, Altair participated in the Community Housing Network “Adopt A Family” program.

The Altair family adopted 4 families of 17 people in total and an additional 6 individuals to give to this December. At our Troy, MI headquarters, Altairians selected gift tags and purchased items ranging from sheets to bikes to support Altair’s adopted family members. There were no gift tags left behind and Altairians donated more than 200 gifts along with many more essential household items. Altair’s dedicated HR team volunteered many hours to help organize this event, including wrapping gifts personally and hand delivering them to the Community Housing Network.

Altair’s donations were delivered last Friday to the Community Housing Network. Families and individuals were invited to collect their gifts and enjoy snacks this week in time to celebrate for the holidays.

We would like to thank all of the Altairians who made donations and volunteered their time to help Altair’s adopted families this holiday season. From our Altair family to yours, we wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season and a wonderful New Year!
